Trustee Christopher B. Nichols

Chris and his wife Melissa live in the Canton South area with his children Samantha, Abby and Grace along with stepchildren Morgan and Noah. They enjoy spending time with family and attending the kid’s softball, baseball, soccer and football games.

A graduate of Canton South High School, Chris also holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Malone College along with a Minor in Mathematics. He is a graduate of the 19th Class of Leadership Stark County. Chris was also appointed by former Governor Bob Taft to 3 terms on the Clean Ohio Council, representing all of Ohio’s 1,308 townships. In his time on the Clean Ohio Council, they have distributed in excess of $100 million in grants to assist in the cleanup and redevelopment of brownfield (former industrial and environmentally contaminated) sites across Ohio.

Chris works as the Director of Facility Costs at First Communications in Akron, OH. He is a life member of the First Lutheran Church of Canton and has served numerous terms on his church council. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Canton South and chairs their annual Golf Outing Fundraiser. In addition to volunteering at various Pro Football Hall of Fame activities, Chris also serves as the public address announcer for the Malone College Football team and the Canton South High School Football and Basketball teams.

Serving in his second term, Chris enjoys working with the residents of Canton Township as a Township Trustee. He is proud of the improved communications with residents along with the enhanced professionalism and reputation of Canton Township. Chris looks forward to continuing the work of moving Canton Township forward and improving the services and financial stability of the township. Please contact him if he may be of service.
