High Visible Address Signs Are Available
Please take a few minutes to step into our shoes and check on the visibility of your address numbers to make sure they can be seen in daylight and especially at night. Make sure if that if you have numbers on a rural street side mailbox that the numbers are posted on both sides of the box.
The department also asks that at this time that if you have a confusing address or unique
situation such as a house behind another or a very long lane or any other situation that could
delay assistance that you call us and let us know. We can record these in our dispatching noted
as well as in our preplan books that re kept on the vehicles. |
The fire department is once again asking our residents and businesses to go outside and look
at their building and their mailboxes and see how visible their addresses are. It can be
very difficult at times, especially at night, to find a location when there are no visible
addresses. At times we can waste valuable minutes searching for numbers when someone is
anxiously waiting for our help.
For your convenience, the township offers blue and white address signs that are highly
reflective. These signs are available for a small cost. A few minutes of your time will ensure
that the department will not waste valuable minutes of our own looking for your address during
your time of need.
