Fire Department Access to Your Home or Business with Knox Box Program

It is the goal of The Canton Township Fire Department to give the best service to our fire protection area. Therefore, The Department has instituted the use of the KNOX BOX ENTRY SYSTEM to provide ease-of access to structures in the case of an emergency. In many cases when the fire department responds to a home or business such as for an alarm drop or to check on the well being of a resident we have to wait for someone to show up with a key so that we can gain entry. This causes the fire fighters unnecessary and often prolonged delays.

The installation of a high security KNOX BOX near the entrance of your home or business will provide onsite storage of keys, access cards and emergency information. The KNOX BOX is keyed specifically for The Canton Township Fire Department and would only be used in cases of emergency or to ensure safety of the property.
